National transportation awards go to three S&T grad students

Awardees Hanli Wu, Jun Liu and Beshoy Riad

Three Ph.D. students at Missouri S&T have received the first Waheed Uddin Outstanding Graduate Student Award by the National Center for Transportation Infrastructure Durability and Life-Extension (TriDurLE).

The winners, all students in civil, architectural and environmental engineering, are:

  • Hanli Wu, first place
  • Jun Liu, first place
  • Beshoy Riad, second place.

The students’ advisors are Dr. Jenny Liu and Dr. Xiong Zhang, both professors of civil, architectural and environmental engineering.

Students were nominated by site directors and ranked by TriDurLE’s advisory board. The awardees receive $1,000 for first place and $500 for second place.
