Updates for the S&T community
Dr. Michael Moats will present a chemistry seminar titled “Adventures in Chemical Metallurgy” 4-5 p.m. Monday, March 15, in G3 Schrenk Hall (socially distanced seating and facial coverings required) and via Zoom.
Moats is an associate chair of graduate programs for materials science and engineering and professor of metallurgical engineering at S&T. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in metallurgical engineering from S&T and a Ph.D. from the University of Arizona. Before he joined the S&T faculty in 2012, Moats worked as a metallurgist, researcher and manager for eight years was on the faculty at the University of Utah for seven years.
