Engineers Without Borders seeks advisor

The S&T student chapter of Engineers Without Borders (EWB) seeks nominations of full-time faculty and professional staff to serve as the organization’s advisor. Self-nominations are encouraged.

The EWB advisor assists with overall project management, supports the four program groups (Ecuador, Guatemala and two locations in Bolivia), manages and oversees budgets, and coordinates with students, faculty, and staff in various roles.

The ideal advisor will have experience with the following:

  • Service projects in foreign countries
  • Philanthropic engineering projects
  • Facilitating student teams
  • Capital project budget management
  • International travel
  • Fundraising, publicity and outreach
  • Excellent communication skills.

Candidates should submit a letter of interest and may add an abbreviated CV for review by the screening committee. Send materials to academicsupport@mst.edu with “EWB Advisor” as the subject line by 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20.
