The Foundation Directory Online by Candid is an up-to-date, comprehensive database and search tool to help researchers match their work with more than 200,000 foundation funders. It also includes information on past recipients of foundation funding, key foundation leaders and decision makers, and even searchable IRS 990 tax forms.

Access to the database is available to the entire S&T community via the sponsored programs website – although the database must be accessed from an S&T IP address, so be sure to use an on-campus device or connect via remote desktop access.

The Foundation Directory Online’s website features assistance for using the website, including a written guide, live chat with experts, and a YouTube channel featuring short introductory videos. The Candid Learning blog is also available, offering current fundraising news and ongoing training events including webinars, videos, and self-paced options.
