The UM System provides the following frequently asked questions and responses about the move from Kaltura to Panopto for educational videos.
How does this affect me?
After Feb. 1, no additional video content may be created or uploaded into Kaltura. Kaltura videos can continue to be played throughout the Spring 2021 semester
Kaltura will no longer be available to you and your students as of June 1.
What happens to my Kaltura content?
All Kaltura videos that have been played at least once since Jan. 1, 2019, will be copied over to the relevant campus instance of Panopto
Where can I learn how to use Panopto?
The UM System Teaching Tools site contains several help documents on using Panopto. You can also register to join one of the many workshops or help sessions on Panopto.
