As the university prepares to welcome students back to campus for the start of the spring 2021 semester, Dr. Dennis Goodman, chief medical officer, advises students to quarantine at home for 10 days prior to return. All students who plan to move in to residence halls, university-approved off-campus housing or private housing by Monday, Jan. 18, should begin their quarantine today (Friday, Jan. 8).

Self-imposed quarantine is one of the most effective strategies for preventing the return of the virus to campus. People in quarantine stay home, separate themselves from others and monitor their health for symptoms of COVID-19.

Missouri S&T will begin classes Tuesday, Jan. 19, with move-in occurring Sunday and Monday, Jan. 17 and 18. University staff will screen all students who live in residence halls during their move-in.

More details about Missouri S&T’s return to campus for the spring semester will be available next week on the coronavirus.mst.edu website. Students moving into residence halls who have questions should email reslife@mst.edu. Students moving into university-approved off-campus housing who have questions should email involvement@mst.edu. For general information on S&T’s return-to-campus plans related to COVID-19, email covid@mst.edu.
