Patent granted for battery electrode manufacturing process

Dr. Jonghyun Park, associate professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering, and Dr. Jie Li, a 2018 Ph.D. graduate of Missouri S&T, have received a U.S. Patent titled “Controlling Structures of Battery Electrodes.”
Park and Li’s work could improve battery electrode manufacturing to address energy storage technology gaps, meet future energy storage requirements and provide better battery response and performance, according to the patent summary.
