Dr. Wen Ouyang has joined Missouri S&T as associate director of international admissions. Her first day was Dec. 1. She reports to Shobi Sivadasan, vice provost of enrollment management.
Ouyang will lead the university’s international graduate and undergraduate recruitment efforts to rebuild and grow S&T’s international student population. She comes from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, where she served as program administrator for international programs. Prior to that she was part of the international programs team at the University of Missouri-Columbia from 2007 to 2016.
Ouyang earned a bachelor’s degree in Chinese language and literature from Shanghai Normal University in China, a master’s degree in in comparative literature from Shanghai Normal University in China, an educational specialist degree in educational administration from University of Central Missouri and a Ph.D. degree in educational leadership and policy analysis from MU.
