Any student, faculty member or staff member who travels internationally should follow CDC guidelines and stay home for 14 days from the time they return to the United States before returning to campus and contact covid@mst.edu for additional guidance. On Nov. 21, the CDC changed its quarantine recommendation to seven days if the traveler tests negative for COVID-19 upon their return.

The student health services staff recommends rapid testing between days five and seven of the seven-day quarantine. If negative, the quarantine period would end after seven days. If the traveler chooses not to be tested, a 14-day quarantine is recommended.

If you plan to travel internationally, please email covid@mst.edu.

For more information on how to gauge your risk of COVID-19 infection with international or cruise travel, see the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.
