Kummer Institute Research Advisory Committee announced

An advisory committee focused on research has been created for the Kummer Institute for Student Success, Research and Economic Development. The committee is led by co-chairs Dr. Richard Brow, interim deputy provost for academic excellence and Curators’ Distinguished Professor of materials science and engineering, and Dr. Angela Lueking, associate dean for research in the College of Engineering and Computing and professor of chemical engineering.

Committee members include:

  • Dr. Denise Baker, assistant professor of psychological science
  • Dr. Laura Bartlett, associate professor and Robert V. Wolf Endowed Professor of Metallurgical Engineering
  • Dr. Genda Chen, Robert W. Abbett Distinguished Chair in Civil Engineering
  • Dr. Mahelet Fikru, associate professor of economics
  • Dr. Jie Huang, assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering
  • Dr. Frank Liou, Michael and Joyce Bytnar Professor of Mechanical Engineering  
  • Dr. Marek Locmelis, assistant professor of geosciences and geological and petroleum engineering
  • Dr. Julia Medvedeva, professor of physics
  • Dr. Manashi Nath, associate professor of chemistry
  • Dr. Sarah Stanley, associate professor of business and information technology
  • Dr. Donald Wunsch II, Mary K. Finley Missouri Distinguished Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering
  • Dr. Guirong (Grace) Yan, associate professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering
  • Dr. Hu Yang, chair and professor of chemical and biochemical engineering.
