Improve your intercultural communication skills

Dr. Michel Gueldry, professor of arts, languages and philosophy, will teach Speech and Media Studies (SP&M) 3235: Intercultural Communication 4-4:50 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, during the Spring 2021 semester. He will teach in English and offer opportunities for customized or supplemental readings in French and Spanish for students who speak those languages.
This class is both theoretical and experiential. It can help students develop their intercultural competence with others in social and professional settings. Gueldry will clarify the foundational concepts of “cultures,” “intercultural” and “competences” for social relations and consider theories and practices of self-development and self-integration.
