The arts, languages, and philosophy department’s theatre section will host its 4th annual Overnight Theatre Festival live via Zoom at 7 pm Saturday, Nov. 14.

For participants in the festival, playwrights are given a genre, a theme, a line of dialogue, and a cast on Friday night. They have until Saturday morning to write a ten-minute play. Then the directors come in and rehearse with the actors in the afternoon. The new works will be performed for a live virtual audience at 7 pm Saturday night. The performance on Saturday night is free and open to the public.

We are still in need of actors! If you’d like to be involved in the Overnight Theatre Festival or have any questions, email Taylor Gruenloh, assistant teaching professor of theatre, at gruenloht@mst.edu.
