Join 13th documentary Netflix watch party

Student diversity initiatives will host a Netflix watch party at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, to watch the Academy Award-winning documentary “13th,” which explores race and the criminal justice system in the United States. If you do not have Netflix, it will also be free to view on YouTube. Register at Register online.

Netflix party code and instructions will be sent the day of the event. A discussion will be held at a later date.

CONTENT WARNING: Lynching, Jim Crow, Nixon’s presidential campaign, Reagan’s War on Drugs, Bill Clinton’s Three Strikes and mandatory sentencing laws, and the current cash-for-prisoners model.
