Online communities of practice are now being formed with S&T instructors who want answers to some of the hot topics around teaching, such as:

  • How do I structure my online assignments and assessments to keep students from cheating?
  • How do I make online and socially distanced labs work?
  • How do I keep students engaged in a Zoom class?
  • How do hit the right level of difficulty on my assignments or assessments?
  • How do I teach students so that they learn and not just memorize the material?

If you are interested in connecting with a group of colleagues to brainstorm solutions and hear from others who are making inroads on these topics, please fill out this survey.

Once these groups are formed, each will determine when and how often to meet. The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, Oct. 7. For more information, please contact the Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE) at cafe@mst.edu.
