Dr. Shannon Fogg has been named a fellow of the Paris Institute for Advanced Study. Fogg is the interim associate dean of academic affairs for the College of Arts, Sciences, and Business and chair and professor of history and political science.

Due to the global pandemic, Fogg will participate virtually in seminars beginning in February 2021 and will travel to Paris following the spring semester. During her fellowship, she will work with research partners in Paris on a project related to the geography of the Holocaust in Paris.

The Paris IAS is a research center focused on humanities and social sciences, and offers internationally recognized researchers a chance to spend five to nine months in Paris. This institute invites approximately 20 researchers from around the world each year to participate in seminars, conferences and to conduct original research.
