Engagement Week: Concrete castles and tornadoes

Join Dr. Grace Yan, associate professor of structural engineering, for a talk titled “Concrete Castles and Tornadoes” 10-11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, via Zoom. She will discuss structural materials, tornado damage and how to reinforce current houses to withstand tornadoes.
This talk is one of several virtual events during Extension and Engagement Week 2020. This week-long celebration — with events from all four UM System campuses — will showcase the impact of extension programming and university engagement on addressing Missouri’s challenges in economic opportunity, educational excellence and access, and health and well-being.
