The annual Focus on Teaching and Technology Conference will be held Sept. 24-25 virtually on Zoom. It is free but registration is required. Registered participants will receive session links and eProgram access. The keynote address and workshop will be held Friday, Sept. 25. Register online now.

James M. Lang will be the keynote speaker. His presentation is titled Teaching Distracted Minds: Old Challenges, New Contexts. Lang is a professor of English and director of the D’Amour Center for Teaching Excellence at Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts. He is the author of five books. His next book, Teaching Distracted Minds, will be published by Basic Books in late 2020. Lang writes a monthly column on teaching and learning for The Chronicle of Higher Education and his work has been appearing in the publication since 1999.
