Student diversity initiatives (SDI) is hosting a Zoom book club. The first round pick is “…But I’m NOT Racist: Tools for Well-Meaning Whites” by Kathy Obear. The staff chose this book to provide an accessible and foundational path to confronting the perspectives that make it hard to be effective allies.
This space is a source of education and support for all members of the S&T community to deepen our capacity and courage to challenge, examine and unlearn problematic attitudes. If you’re interested in learning how to become a partner in dismantling racism, this book club is for you.
