CAFE to host event on assessing student learning

All instructors are invited to join a discussion on assessing student learning, both in their online and face-to-face classrooms, noon-1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, on Zoom. The Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE) is hosting the event, titled “Student Learning and Assessment in 2020.”
Discussion topics will include:
- The goal of assessments, and how to know whether you’re reaching that goal
- Grading systems
- What works for different class sizes and levels of students
- Encouraging academic honesty
- Student motivation, especially online.
