Fire alarm testing underway

Missouri S&T’s facilities services staff, in conjunction with Cintas Fire Protection, is inspecting campus fire alarm systems. The process began this week and will continue for four to five weeks. Signs will be posted on entrances of buildings on the day of inspecting and testing. All aspects of the fire alarms will be tested – strobe lights, smoke detectors and horns, which may signal for up to 15 seconds during testing.

Inspections will be conducted in the following buildings:

  • Centennial Hall
  • Computer Science Building
  • Curtis Laws Wilson Library

  • Engineering Research Laboratory

  • Harris Hall
  • Humanities and Social Sciences Building
  • Innovation Park
