Ashley Gordon joined Missouri S&T in December as a senior diversity, equity and inclusion specialist.
In her job, she creates assessments for the diversity, equity and inclusion department to gather data on the impact the department’s programming has on the community. The assessments also help instructors fine-tune initiatives to be even more effective in the future.
She says her favorite part of her job is working with great colleagues.
“I feel supported in every way and motivated to continue working hard for our students,” she says. “The energy in our department is electric.”

Email news@mst.edu with your name and the name of the person you would like to see featured (it can be yourself). If you’d like to tell us about yourself, fill out a staff spotlight questionnaire.
