In order to repair a storm line, the sidewalk to the pedestrian tunnel underneath Highway 63/Bishop Avenue will be closed on Monday, July 20. It will remain closed for approximately 10 days. During this time, the westbound lane of University Drive in front of Residential Commons 1 will be closed. The entrance to the residence hall will remain open.
Pedestrians traveling to campus from University Drive who would typically use the pedestrian tunnel under Highway 63 and Bishop Avenue may use detour routes to access the tunnel. Pedestrians may reroute by walking through the courtyard between Residential Commons 1 and 2 and taking the stairs in front of Residential Commons 1 down to the pedestrian tunnel. The accessible ramp in front of Residential Commons 1 will remain open. Students may also use the crosswalk at Highway 63 and Bishop Avenue. Pedestrian detour signage will be posted.
