Kyle Craft, a senior in aerospace engineering at S&T, received a Best Paper Award from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
The paper is titled “Performance Determination of a Multi-Mode Thruster Using GPS and Star Tracker Data” and won in the Guidance, Navigation, and Control Technologies for Space Applications conference track.
Jacob Darling, who earned bachelor’s a doctoral degrees in aerospace engineering from S&T, served as Craft’s summer internship mentor at the Air Force Research Laboratory. Dr. Henry Pernicka, professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering at S&T, is Craft’s faculty advisor.
