Oerther elected treasurer of nursing society

Dr. Daniel Oerther, professor of environmental health engineering, has been elected to a two-year term as treasurer of the Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) Honor Society of Nursing Building Corp.
Oerther was inducted to lifetime honorary membership in Sigma in 2011, and subsequently appointed to two consecutive terms as director of the Building Corp. From 2020 through 2021, Oerther will serve as treasurer with financial oversight for the society’s headquarters in Indianapolis.
The 135,000 global members of Sigma are served by three organizations, including: the honor society, the philanthropic foundation and the Building Corp. Established in 1993, the Building Corp. manages real estate for all three organizations.
