Music 1140: University Choir
Online – asynchronous
University Choir will be online for the fall semester, BUT it’s still a choir and will culminate with a “Virtual Choir” performance! No choir experience needed, and no need to know how to read music. Open to all who are interested in learning to sing in a choral setting. We will work on music theory, breath support, sound production, diction, listening, sight-reading, and ensemble singing. At the end of the semester, our final performances together will be posted via approved university outlets. Students will have music files to practice with, so no need even for a piano! Computer and recording capabilities are all that’s needed.
Music 1141: Chamber Choir
Tu Th 12:30-1:45 p.m.
For fall semester only, NO AUDITION is required! No previous music experience is necessary. Chamber choir is open to any and all students that are looking for a choral experience on campus. We will touch on basic music theory, proper breathing and vocal production techniques, and sight-reading skills while learning several standard choral pieces.
