Woodson named interim tech transfer director

John Woodson is Missouri S&T’s interim director of technology transfer and economic development. His appointment follows Keith Strassner’s retirement after leading the department for 15 years.
Woodson has served as a senior licensing associate and a business development counselor during the past 10 years.
He has over 13 years of experience in mining, managing, processing, licensing and commercializing intellectual property (IP) in industry and academia. He has experience working in the private, public and military sectors with a strong background in electronics and chemistry.
