The Winter 2020 issue of Tapestry is out, highlighting creative and innovative initiatives that affect diversity, equity and inclusion efforts in the living, working and learning environments throughout the University of Missouri System. All four UM System universities, including S&T, are featured in the e-publication. 

The following articles highlight S&T programs and people:

  • “Engineering Success” about the College of Engineering and Computing’s Summer Engineering Research Academy on page 6
  • “Teaching and Making History” about Dr. Kathleen Sheppard, associate professor of history and political science and Missouri S&T’s 2019 Woman of the Year, on page 17
  • “Daring to Do More” about Ashley-Ann Davis, a civil engineering major and president of S&T’s National Society of Black Engineers student chapter, on page 21
  • “A GEM of a Scholar” about Jose L. Corchado-Albelo, an S&T graduate student in mining engineering and GEM University Fellow, on page 28.
