Missouri S&T’s research office is trying to determine what percentage of the research of our graduate research assistants (GRAs) cannot be performed due to limited laboratory access as a response to COVID-19 concerns. Data is being gathered for research continuation and fiscal reasons.

Dr. Costas Tsatsoulis, vice chancellor of research, sent an email to S&T researchers on April 7 with an attached spreadsheet. The subject line of the email is: “GRA Research Performance Study – IMPORTANT and TIME CRITICAL.” Every principal investigator (PI) should work with co-PIs to estimate the percentage of research efforts that his or her graduate research assistants can currently complete due to restricted laboratory access and record these numbers in the spreadsheet.

Please record your data, highlight your additions and return the spreadsheet to the office of the vice chancellor for research by 5 p.m. Friday, April 10, by emailing it to Abbie Sherman at research@mst.edu.
