According to the United States Census Bureau, students affected by university closures due to COVID-19 precautions should still be counted in the 2020 U.S. Census where they usually live while in school.  If you typically live off campus, please complete the survey at 2020census.gov.

If you would typically live in a residence hall or Greek house at this time, you do not need to take action. S&T staff will make sure you are recorded.

The census count is important because it effects federal student loans, research grants, university funding, health and social services, and federal legislation. For every adult and every child that is not counted in the census, our state will lose $1,300 in federal dollars every year. Learn more at 2020census.gov.
