Updates for the S&T community
Please join Dr. Sandra Magnus, former Atlantis astronaut and Missouri S&T alumna, 2 p.m. Friday, April 17 for a live webinar, “Mission Possible: Adapting to New Norms.”
Magnus will share real-life experiences, coping mechanisms, encouragement and advice for dealing with social isolation during the pandemic.
Magnus is Deputy Director for Engineering in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering. She is the Chief Engineer for Advanced Capabilities and leads engineering policy, practice, and the engineering workforce, as well as digital and systems engineering initiatives and mission integration for the U.S. Department of Defense.
Magnus earned a B.S. degree in physics and an M.S. degree in electrical engineering at Missouri S&T in 1986 and 1990, respectively, and a Ph.D. in engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1996.
