COVID-19: Today’s workshops on teaching remotely to be livestreamed

The Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence livestream today’s workshop titled “Tips on Teaching and Working Remotely” 11 a.m.-1 p.m. The schedule includes:

  • Panopto demonstration, 11-11:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.-noon.at zoom.us/j/945916817
    Panopto enables faculty to record their lectures and show to students at a later time.
  • Zoom demonstration, 11-11:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.-noon at zoom.us/j/950323421
    Zoom allows faculty to offer synchronous office hours or class instruction.
  • Canvas demonstration, 11 a.m.-noon and noon-1 p.m. at mst.zoom.us/j/5733417500
    This will include basic Canvas instruction, including organization, labeling of content from week to week, and how to handle assignments.

Recorded archives of these sessions will be available as soon as possible after the event on the on the CAFE website.

Additional virtual workshops on various tools are coordinated by the University of Missouri System’s office of eLearning. These are hosted by colleagues across the UM System and are open to any S&T faculty or staff member. Registration is required for some webinars. Get details online.
