COVID-19: Phelps County declares state of emergency

Phelps County declared a state of emergency today (Thursday, March 19) due to the risks associated with coronavirus (COVID-19). Social gatherings in the county are restricted to fewer than 50 people. Restaurants, coffee shops and bars in the county will be closed to on-premise consumption by Saturday, March 21. Delivery, walk-up and drive-through service are permitted at the businesses.

In addition to Rolla, Phelps County includes Doolittle, Edgar Springs, Newburg and St. James.
