Although the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) continues to report no positive cases of COVID-19 in Phelps County, the Phelps-Maries County Health Department has confirmed its staff is monitoring an individual in Phelps County who tested positive for COVID-19.

The individual does not reside in Phelps County, but has family that does. Both the individual and the family are quarantined at the family’s home in Rolla. The individual’s family includes a member of our S&T community. However, the entire family has remained quarantined in the home since the individual arrived on Saturday, March 21, so there has been no contact with other individuals in our community.

Phelps-Maries County Health Department staff is closely monitoring all members of this family, and the family will remain in quarantine until officially released.
