Chancellor Mo Dehghani sent the following message to students, staff an faculty on March 21:

Dear S&T community,

During these stressful times, when many are dealing with heightened fear and anxiety, I urge each of you to be kind to one another and to remember that Missouri S&T is a diverse and welcoming community that values inclusion, integrity and global engagement. COVID-19 is showing us all that it doesn’t recognize race, nationality or ethnicity. No one is immune from this virus.

I sincerely appreciate the great majority of our S&T community who uphold our values and are a source of comfort and inspiration for our diverse community of scholars.

Now more than ever, it is important that we rise above any tendency to stigmatize individuals. Now more than ever, we must refuse to allow fear to lead to prejudice or discrimination. If you believe you have been treated unfairly, harassed or discriminated against, please contact Equity and Title IX at equity@mst.edu or 573-341-7734.

Sincerely,

Mo Dehghani

Chancellor
