Dr. Vadym Mochalin, professor of chemistry, gave two invited seminars at the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague on Jan. 16. The presentations were titled “Nanodiamond: Synthesis, Properties and Applications” and “2D Transition Metal Carbides (MXenes): Synthesis, Properties and Applications.”
Mochalin’s group research in fundamental chemistry and physics of nanomaterials for applications receives significant attention from the international research community and increases visibility of Missouri S&T as one of the top research centers in these quickly developing research areas.
