Leatherman earns award, coaching certificate

Four awardees

Karen Leatherman, business development specialist at the Missouri S&T Small Business Development Center (SBDC), received a Top 5 Highest Client Satisfaction Award from the University Of Missouri Extension’s Business Development Program. She was one of five recipients honored at the organization’s annual celebration of staff achievements on Jan. 29.

Programs within the Business Development Program include the Missouri Small Business Development Centers, Missouri Procurement Technical Assistance Center and Mid-America Trade Adjustment Assistance Center (TAAC).

Additionally, Leatherman recently received a certificate for transformational coaching from the Missouri Small Business Development Center and Blue Mesa Coaching. The center trains selected leaders, such as Leatherman, to provide coaching services within an organization that provides a solid foundation in coaching concepts, including personal coaching, executive coaching, and organizational coaching.
