The arts, languages and philosophy speaker series will continue at 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, in Room 143 Castleman Hall. Nick Nichols, comedian and S&T alumnus, will present a talk titled “Making Time for Your Passions.”
Nick says: “You do not have to wait until retirement to start doing things you’re passionate about. People make time for things they care about, so why not make time for your passions NOW? I didn’t let my busy Missouri S&T days, nor my busy post-graduate life prevent me from making time for passion, which is comedy. I believe passions are a part of a complete life and we need to treat them like so. I will discuss why it’s important to make time for your passions, the reasons people don’t make time, and how to make time. Let’s stop giving so much of us to our school and career, that we don’t have enough to give back to ourselves.”
All lectures in the series will be held at Missouri S&T and are free and open to the public. For more information, contact the arts, languages and philosophy department at 341-4869 or alp@mst.edu.
