Student receives International Concrete Repair Institute Scholarship

Xingxing Zou, a Ph.D. student in civil, architectural and environmental engineering, has been awarded the Great Plains Chapter of the International Concrete Repair Institute Scholarship of $1,500 for the 2019-20 academic year.

Zou’s doctoral research focuses on strengthening and repairing concrete structures using advanced composite materials. He is also exploring the use of a novel nondestructive testing technique, called active microwave thermography (AMT), to detect the initiation and propagation of composite de-bonding.
