The University of Missouri System is once again reducing operations for winter break, which is Thursday, Dec. 26, through Tuesday, Dec. 31. Missouri S&T will follow reduced operations procedures during this time, per the Collected Rules and Regulations for winter break.

Missouri S&T will return to normal hours on Thursday, Jan. 2, after the New Year’s Day holiday. If you are in a position that accrues vacation, sick leave and personal days, you are eligible for paid-time off during winter break. If you are eligible for winter break leave and are still required to work during this time, please ensure you record your time properly so you may use your leave at a later date. For questions about documentation, please contact your human resources strategic partner.

Pre-holidays

Any time off on the days before the Christmas holiday, such as Christmas Eve (Tuesday, Dec. 24), will be handled like any other time during the year — with prior approval and using vacation, personal days, or leave without pay (if vacation and personal days are exhausted). Managers are responsible for scheduling time off in a way to staff appropriately for their customer demand through the end of these days. There will not be a campuswide early release.

Your manager will work with the appropriate vice chancellor, dean or provost to arrange work schedules during both pre-holiday workdays and winter break. If you have questions, you may contact your HR strategic partner.
