This season has been all about finishing strong for the Miner Rugby Club. They are coming off a Conference Championship and are heading to Nationals this weekend as the 15th seed in the 2019-20 USA Rugby College National Championship. They will play the 16th seed Montana State in the Midwest region of the round in Columbia, Missouri, on Saturday, Nov. 23.
“We’ve known that we have the recipe for a great team that can make a statement both in conference and on the national level as long as we could stay healthy and finish every match strong,” says Austin McMillen, club president.
Before 2019, the last year they won their conference was 2015 when only one of their current rostered athletes were on the team. Between these championships, they have placed second each year.
