Elizabeth Caputa and Kyle McMillen received grants from the Missouri Space Grant Consortium (MOSGC) through Missouri S&T and NASA.

Caputa will work with Dr. Marco Cavaglia’s LIGO group to build a tabletop interferometer to engage the public and students in scientific educational outreach. She will also analyze data from the LIGO collaboration to help identify and resolve sources of error.

McMillen will work with Dr. Daoru Han in aerospace engineering on experimental analysis of plasma density profiles for optimization in laser/plasma wakefield accelerators (LWFA/PWFA).
