Dr.
Francisca Oboh-Ikuenobe, professor of geology and biological sciences, has
received the Albert Nelson Marquis
Lifetime Achievement Award from Marquis Who’s Who.
Oboh-Ikuenobe joined Missouri S&T’s faculty in 1991. In addition to her
primary roles, she was the interim department chairfrom 2015 to 2017, the
program head of geology and geophysics from 2006 to 2014, and an associate
department chair from 2005 to 2006.
Throughout her career, Oboh-Ikuenobe has been
recognized for her contributions, including being named Woman of the Year at
S&T. The recipient of three S&T Faculty Excellence Awards, she has
received grants from the National Science Foundation and the American Chemical
Society. The recipient of the Science and Technology Award from the Nigerian
Peoples Forum, she was named a Woman of Legacy by Voices of Edo Women.
Oboh-Ikuenobe is a fellow of the Geological Society of America and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Read more.
