Dr. Patrick Huber’s book, A&R Pioneers: Architects of American Roots Music on Record, has won a Certificate of Merit in the 2019 Association for Recorded Sound Collections Award for Excellence in Historical Recorded Sound Research in Recorded Roots or World Music.
Huber, a professor of history at S&T, co-authored the book with Brian Ward, professor of American Studies at Northumbria University in Newcastle upon Tyne. It is jointly published by Vanderbilt University Press and the Country Music Foundation Press.
