The Rolla GWIS chapter is hosting an event for local girl scouts at the Ozark Biological Research Station on October 19th! We are excited to host these girls, but we need help from our members. The event is ‘A Journey Through STEM’, where we will take the girls through a day in STEM experiments and demonstrations.

We are looking for volunteers! We need help putting this event on. We have set up some workdays for the event and there will be a Wrap- Up Meeting on Oct. 16 from 4 to 6 pm @ McNutt 266 . If you can not make the workdays but still would like to help, let us know! We can work around different schedules.

Here are some of the Volunteer Positions and their duties:
1. Set up Help
Set up tables, tents, activities
2. Take Down Help
Cleaning up after the event
3. Engineering Activity(s)
Coming up with an hour long activity for 2-8 grade girls, presenting this activity
4. Help with activities
Being on site, day of, to help with activities and whatever arises.
5. Coding Session Presenter
This activity has already been developed, we just need someone to present it to the girls day of.
6. Prepping for the Event
Any pre-event prep (sign making, pre prep for activity)
