Kurt Pritchett

Having a computer issue? Kurt Pritchett is your go-to person at Missouri S&T’s IT Help Desk. You may speak with him on the phone when calling 341-4357 (HELP), or you might talk with him at the front counter of the help desk in Curtis Laws Wilson Library.

“I always liked problem solving and computers,” he says. “I tried computer programming but it wasn’t for me. I got involved in IT work at a local school near my hometown and really liked it.”

Kurt joined S&T’s staff in 2017 as a system support analyst expert. He is one of five full-time employees but says he is often mistaken for a student worker.

Kurt fields calls and queries from faculty, staff and students. He says that he is often able to answer questions or help individuals resolve their computer issues. If not, Kurt has several colleagues in the IT department that he can call upon to assist, from staff members who go to offices to fix desktops to employees who set up computers for new students to staff members who help with technology in classrooms and computer learning systems.

“If you’re having trouble with your computer, feel free to give the Help Desk a call,” Kurt says. “We’re happy to help.”
