Dr. Debra Robinson, vice chancellor for student affairs,
announces the appointment of a search committee to help recruit S&T’s next
director of athletics and recreation. Mark Mullin, who has served as the
university’s director for nearly 30 years, will retire Sept. 1, 2020.
Dr. Dave Westenberg, associate professor of biological
sciences and S&T’s faculty athletics representative, will chair the search
committee. Other committee members are:

geological and petroleum engineering

Crutcher, president of S&T’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, business
and management systems student, and a member of the Miner men’s track and field
team

Grooms, head swimming coach

Johnson, president of M-Club, chemical engineering student and a member of the
Miner women’s soccer team
