Registration for the 3-Minute Thesis (3MT) competition closes at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17. All graduate students involved with research are encouraged to participate. It only takes three minutes for a chance to win $200, improve your presentation skills and gain recognition.
The contest is designed for graduate students to develop and showcase their research communication skills. Contestants are challenged to present a compelling oration on their dissertation and its significance in three minutes, in language for a non-specialist audience, using only one slide. Cash prizes go to first-place, runner-up and people’s choice winners. The first-place winner will get his or her expenses paid for the regional competition.
The campus community is invited to the finale at 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, in St. Pat’s Ballroom A and B of the Havener Center.
