In an ongoing effort to provide support for S&T’s most used IT systems and tools it is necessary to review and identify systems and services that are rarely or never used or contain extremely outdated content. One of these areas is userweb directories, also known as “tilde” sites (e.g. https://web.mst.edu/~SOMETHINGHERE).
These were website directories formerly created for faculty, staff and organizations. Many of these are now outdated or not used. Official sites have been moved to a current content management system or other official online system or tool.
In the coming weeks, the web team will send an email to each account holder to determine use and need. The IT department will discontinue this service at the end of the year. Please watch your email for this important communication.
