Benjamin White has been named director of equity and Title IX at Missouri S&T. The appointment became effective Oct. 1. He succeeds Neil Outar, who become chief diversity officer in July.
White has served S&T since 2012, when he joined the university’s student life department. He has served as an educator in institutional equity, diversity and inclusion, and senior assistant director for the newly formed student diversity initiatives department. Most recently, he served as interim director of equity and Title IX.
Before joining Missouri S&T, White was a resident director at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. He holds a master’s degree in educational leadership and policy from the University of Utah and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
