Welcome Graduate Women in Science – Rolla Chapter to Campus

GWIS is a worldwide society with over 1,000 members, established in 1921 at Cornell University. Since then, it has been aiming to inspire, support, recognize, and empower women in science in order to build a powerful international network of women scientists.
Missouri S&T has welcomed GWIS. Thanks to the hard work of all the fantastic women who make up the E-board, Rolla is a new official campus chapter, looking forward to having more members, organize tons of events, and become a strong community of women in the STEM disciplines
We will be in Miner Mingle on September 23rd at Havener Center Parking Lot from 5 pm to 7 pm and we have our first huge event “GWIS Girl Scout Weekend” at MST Field Station on October 19th. We will have also different social events during the rest of the semester because supported by networking, we also want to build bonds of friendship.
